He aha te wa? - What is the time?
In Maori, time is told the same way as a clock face time.

Examples
One O'Clock = Kotahi te wa
Six O'Clock = Ono te wa
10 past 2 = tekau mai i te rua te wa
20 past 6 = rua tekau mai i te ono te wa
5 to 9 = rima ki te iwa te wa
8 to 3 = waru ki te toru te wa
1/2past 5 = haurua mai i te rima te wa
1/4to 1 = hauwha ki te tahi te wa
To remember the 1/2 and the 1/4 think of the second number. For 1/2 it is 2 so half is haurua and for 1/4 it is 4 so quarter is hauwha. For 1/3 it would be hautoru.
te wa goes at the end of all times.
If a time is digital, it first must be translated to clock time, then translated into Maori. 7:40 is 20 to 8 so in Maori it would be rua tekau ki te waru te wa.
