0/11/1991 Inaugural National Maori Sports Awards, Turangawaewae Marae, Ngaruawahia
5/11/1881 Militia and volunteers arrested Te Whiti and Tohu at the undefended settlement of Parihaka. This was the first passive resistance movement.
9/11/1883 Birthday of Te Puea Herangi
9/11/1912 MAHUTA Tawhiao Potatau Te Wherowhero, 3rd King died at Waahi

14/11/1993 Te Mangai Paho was established to fund Maori broadcasting for the promotion of Maori language and culture.
18/11/2004 Govt breaks the treaty again by passing the Foreshore and Seabed Bill. Article 2 of the Treaty guarantees Maori “..full, exclusive, and undisturbed possession of their lands and Estates, Forests, Fisheries,..” but the bill passed goes against that.
30/11/1982 E Ipo sung by Prince Tui Teka, written by Ngoi Pewhairangi and produced by Dalvanius Prime went to number one. Later it was awarded Best Single at the Music Awards. An album followed the single into platinum status
