Kia Ora,
I noticed a notice regarding this family I am a descendant of Hohi and Hemi Macgregor (James). Today my mother brought over a huge sheet of whakapapa regarding this family Sophie and James had a son John Alexander Mac Gregor who married Mary Taruke Taite their child was Harriet Agnes Mac Gregor who married Francis Rudoplh Shortcliffe (my great grandparents)

I am happy to pass on all the information I have as I too am interested in this line

from your messsge i think i am your cousin! i live in auckland, i have the same whakapapa, but the last name is (Mc Gregor) not Mac Gregor, however you may be correct and im wrong, also i have photos of Hohi, Alexander and Taruke, Taruke Taite's name was nee Mary Mc Gregor. Anyway if you would like to catch up, let me know i dont know how, i was just on the net and came across your message, then i registered with this site to reply. lol anyway, take care Cuz kaharawa.
