Pohutukawa



The pohutukawa is sometimes referred to as the New Zealand Christmas tree.

Growing around the coast lines, the tree bursts into bloom in December - summer in New Zealand. The most famous pohutukawa tree is the one at Rerenga Wairua, at the top of the north Island. This one is the only pohutukawa tree that never flowers
